Dr. David Bird: Academic and Avian Conservationist

Dr. David Bird - our speaker on April 7th is Professor of Wildlife Biology and Director of the Avian Science and Conservation Centre at McGill University.
He also holds the following positions:
- Board member of the Raptor Research Foundation.
- Director of the World Working Group on Birds of Pray.
- Endangered Species Recovery Council
- Fellow of the American Ornithologists Union
- Canadian Representative on the International Ornithological Committee.
In addition to numerous scientific papers, Dr. Bird has:
- Produced a weekly report on CFCF-CTV
- Produced reports for the Discovery Channel.
- Written a weekly column for the Gazette (Montreal)
- Made regular contributions to the Bird-Watcher’s Digest.
- Done radio columns and phone-in shows for CJAD (Montreal)
He is the author of the following books:
